This week was pretty awesome. We did all kinds of fun stuff. And it wasn’t extremely cold either! Just a little cold.
First we had P-day. It was nice being around a bunch of missionaries on P-day again. I got to play basketball for the first time in almost 6 months. It was fun. Then on Tuesday we went to the zoo! We didn’t do anything like building an alligator exhibit. But it was fun. I got to use a sander and just sanded a board. That’s all I did though. Then the rest of the day Tuesday was super not exciting. We tried visiting a couple of people. Nobody was really home though.
So then we moved on to Wednesday. We walked a lot on Wednesday. It was another slower day. But, we did have a good weekly planning at the church. Then at the end of the day we had a really good lesson with Paula and Rick. If I haven’t mentioned them before, then they are our two main investigators. They are working on getting baptized in March. They are both awesome.
Thursday was full of meetings. They were really good though. First we had zone training for 2 hours. Then we had specialized training from President and the assistants for 2 hours. We talked all about planning during both. It was a long day, but it was still awesome. After all the meetings we tried to visit a couple of people. Then we got a ride to help a family move. And that was pretty much the whole day.
On Friday we walked a ton! It was awesome. We went a total of about 10 miles. We were just visiting people the whole day. Or at least trying to. We saw Paula and Rick again. They fed us dinner which was cool because we didn’t have one set up.
Saturday was awesome! It was also a little weird to though. We went on exchanges with the Kaw Valley Elders. So I got to work in Kaw Valley for the day. I was surprised by how many of the people we saw remembered me. We stopped by the Nickel’s later in the day. They are doing awesome. Brother Nickel is actually a ward missionary now! It was a good day.
Then was Sunday. It was a good day. Church was awesome. We went and visited a family of Brazilian members. Elder McDaniel was super excited about it. He’s even more excited because they might feed us sometime. For dinner we went to the Stake President’s house. He’s in our ward. The Averetts are pretty cool. The food was really good. Then we got dropped off near the church and we visited a couple of the members near it. And then we walked home. But we only got halfway before a member saw us and gave us a ride.
That’s all for this week!
