This week was great! We got a lot done. It started with P-day. Nothing too exciting happened on P-day. Except I did get a lot of food. Some members gave us a bag full of hot pockets. Elder Johnson can’t eat them so they are all mine. I guess I won’t have to buy food for a while.
Tuesday was Christmas Eve! So we went out and did the usual. Visit people. A lot of the people we wanted to see weren’t home. But we made it work. It was a pretty good day overall.
Then it was Christmas!!! It was an awesome day. The Brundages made us breakfast. Then we quickly opened presents with them. They gave me a gigantic Reese’s bar. I have yet to eat it though. We then proceeded to do our regular studies. At some point in the day I seem to remember something about talking with my family over Skype. It was quite fun. After that we did our weekly planning. Because that’s something we do every week. After dinner, which was also with the Brundages, we went Christmas caroling around Argonia. We went with some of the Brundage’s family that were over. We handed out Book of Mormon and Christmas movie packages along with cookies to the people we caroled to. What better present could there be then that? And that was my Christmas.
We then proceeded to not have Christmas by having Thursday instead. It was a very regular day. We visited some people in Wellington. I got to meet a few more members. It was fun. We also helped the mother of one of our investigators move. It was good to do service. We don’t have many opportunities here for service right now.
On Friday we had district meeting. So we went up to Wichita for the first half of the day for that. It was very good. We talked about working with members and cool stuff like that. It’s the best way to do missionary work! When we got back we went and helped the same person move a little more. Then we visited a couple of other people. We ate dinner with Bishop Porter and then he went with us to teach a recent convert.
Saturday we went on an adventure! We drove to Anthony and did work there for the first half of the day. It’s a pretty nice place. We visited a few members and taught one of our investigators that lives out there. It was good. Then we went from there to Harper. We saw just a few people there. We had a nice talk with some people on there front porch about the Book of Mormon though. We also ate dinner in Harper with Sis. Mock. She’s really nice. After that we returned to Argonia and visited an investigator there.
Sunday was really awesome. We had church! The weather didn’t stop us this week. All of the meetings were good. The members here are awesome. After church we drove down to Caldwell. Nothing really happened down there. But, it was still fun.
That’s what happened here in the land of Argonia this week. It was quite fun.
