THis week was good. We got a lot done. First was P-day. We didn’t do a whole lot. Well, I didn’t. Elder Garnett and Elder Howell decided to ride their bikes to Hooker, OK and back. It was a 40 mile ride and it took them about four hours. I took a nice nap for part of that time. Then we met them at our dinner.
On Tueday we became painters! That’s what we did the whole day. All four of us painted somebody’s patio cover. It was fun. After that we had Wednesday! On Wednesday we did exchanges again. I went with Elder Garnett. We rode our bikes around and visited people. That’s about it. We also had three dinners that day. Three members fed us. So, I got really fat. But it was good.
Wednesday night the zone leaders came down to stay the night. Elder Sweeten stayed in our apartment. He is one of the Elders that was in the same room as me in the MTC. It was pretty fun. Then they went to our district meeting on Thursday. Later in the day we had branch clean up. We met at the church to do some deep cleaning. Then we had food. Walking Tacos to be exact. They were delicious.
On Friday we did a bunch of missionary work. Just like the other days. There really wasn’t anything too exciting about Friday though. We just rode our bikes around and visited people.
Saturday we started by doing service. We did yard work for someone. After that we started driving to Garden City for stake conference. It was a long drive. But somebody gave us a big box of chips. So we had plenty of snacks for the ride. After we got there we had the priesthood and adult sessions. Dinner was provided too! That night we stayed in an empty missionary apartment.
On Sunday we had the rest of stake conference. It was good. Elder Christensen of the Presidency of the Seventy was there. He gave a good talk. After conference, lunch was provided! Then we drove back to Guymon. We did service with a part member family after that. We helped strip the tin off of a building. It was fun.
That my week. We did a lot of service. Which is fun. I like doing service. Now I get to enjoy P-day.
